"fred"We are sorry to announce that Fredrik Waldegren has decided to leave his position as Sales Manager with PADI EMEA. An extremely passionate diver and Platinum Course Director Fred has been involved with PADI for over 20 years initially teaching across Sweden and Thailand. He has also owned and managed a number of different dive centres in Sweden. Fred’s passion and diving career path eventually brought him to Bristol to join the PADI EMEA team in January 2012.

Fred initially joined as a Sales & Business Development Consultant and progressed quickly to become a Regional Manager covering several different areas such as Cyprus, Greece, Sweden, Iceland and Denmark. In 2013 he was promoted to Manager, Sales for the EMEA Region.

Fred has decided to move back to Sweden to spend more time with his family. While we are sad to see him leave, we are also excited for him to be able to spend more time with his son.

Mark Spiers, Vice-President, Sales, Field Services, Marketing and Business Development said “Fred has played an integral role at PADI and we are grateful for the significant contribution his has made to the PADI organization. After such a long time in the industry we knew Fred would not be able to stay away entirely; indeed he will continue to work as a PADI Instructor Examiner and will stay closely connected to all his friends at PADI. We wish him the very best for the future”

"terry198x300"With Fred’s departure, we were fortunate enough to have the perfect replacement for him in Terry Johnson, who has now been appointed into the Sales Manager position. Terry was already an established PADI Course Director with several years of experience of managing dive stores when he joined PADI in 2004. Terry first role was as a Training Consultant and PADI Examiner. In 2007, Terry was promoted to PADI Regional Manager for Egypt, Eastern Europe and Russia. Since then he has gained extensive experience providing Regional Manager coverage in Greece, Northern UK and, most recently, Southern UK, Ireland and Portugal.

Mark Spiers said “I am extremely pleased to see Terry move into the Sales Manager’s role. With his many years of experience both inside and outside of PADI, he was our natural choice to take over this position. He is a well-known and respected Member of the PADI Team and will ensure that we continue to offer the highest level of customer service.”
